I thought about visiting that place next days / weeks - looks as impressive as Margraten and Henri Chapelle

ABMC information site

Has anyone been there lately / plan traveling there in the upcomming weeks / months ?

I am ashamed to say this but I have never been there but I really want to go to it. Shall we try to be there at the same time Steve?
Regards,
Frank

Frank, it would be great to meet you there !

I prefer driving in the morning - because of the traffic situation around Cologne ( which is a desaster atm )

Suggestions ?

No problem for me Steve, I have to say that things can change because of my job so I will keep you updated. It's only 30-45 minutes away from where I live.
Best,
Frank

I visited the place last weekend.

Once again, I was the only person around ( arrived at 9.15 am, left at about 10.20 am )

Really an impressive place to be - the pure size of such a monument really is an eye opener - no matter how often you visit it

What I noticed was that a lot of the soldiers buried there were bomber crews - maybe this also explains why there were a lot more graves of unknown soldiers as in place like Margraten for example

I took a couple of pictures and would like to share some of those with you

I noticed the same about the unknown soldiers. Another strange fact is that there are quite some soldiers buried who were killed in Normandy.
Excellent pictures Steve, thanks for sharing. Sorry I couldn't be there.
Regards,
Frank

Maybe next time :)

The place is definitely worth to visit it a second time - especially when it´s possible to walk the grounds with you or / and an other member of this board :)
