The Korean War Project has announced it can't continue to support itself and will be closing.

Such a shame....

I recieved th ee-mail the other day and was shocked also. This was a labor of love for these guys and it is a damn shame they are closing down.

I found them several years ago and I posted a question about my father from the Air Force in Korea. In about 20 minutes I had a e-mail from one of his best friend's sons. His father and mine had bunked and served in the ROK in 1951. I called his father several hours later and had a lengthy and fulfilling conversation.

I hope a benefactor with deep pockets comes forth. Where is Ross Perot when we need him?

I got the same email also. I found buddies of my Dads on that site and some family members of men who had been KIA but were still listed as MIA contacted me and with the help of my Dad they were able to be at peace knowing their loved one wasnt taken prisoner . My Dad was present when 2 of t hem were killed, so he knew exactly what happened. Itwas very rewarding for my Dad to speak to their families. He was shocked they didnt know the truth some 50 years after the fact. They do some great things over there and you are right Tony its a shame.. I hope someone can help them out. Thanks for posting this Brooke Hugs at ya Cindy

I posted my grandpa's info on there hoping to find some of his old buddies, but a few days later a fellow contacted me. He had came over after gramps left but he and I have been emailing back and forth now for months exchanging photos.

This is such a loss.

This is a shame w/o question. I have always found the Korean War Memorial the most special place on the Mall. Very cool and emotional to watch the guys reflections move thru the time line black marble wall....

The Associated Press completed a story about our Letters to the Lost.
Quite a few news agencies have already published the story online.

Ask your local paper and TV station to place the story. To do so, I
would suggest calling as well as sending email.

I would appreciate some of the D/FW area viewers to call the Dallas
Morning News and ask them to review the story for print.

All media staffers will ask you for some basic information. Give them
this:
