I just recieved this update from Tom Carter. Many of you may not be familiar with him, but he designed and ran a website dedicated to the Assault on Brecort Manor. Many here BK, Doug and others helped him with his labor of love. The sight is down now and much of his hard work and graphics have ben pirated by other sites.

Tom's health has been an issue and here is the latest. We should all say a prayer for his safe, complete, and speedy recovery. I am sure he would love some cards and stuff to help him in his recovery


Greetings all:

I was informed yesterday that we have final dates for the transplant. On May 5th I will receive chemo and two radiation sessions; after that no more chemo, but the two radiation sessions will repeat for the next three days to follow. On Friday May 9th and according my schedule, I will be admited to the BMT ward at Northside with the transplant to take place that same day.

It's all around the corner, and I'm ready.

It looks like Tony is faster than a speeding bullet! I was just about to post the same message. I apologize for not posting more often with updates and such - please forgive.

Yes, I will be starting a stem cell transplant procedure on Monday May 5th. The first 4 days will be prepatory chemo and radiation then the jump on day 5. It's about time, and getting this behind me will mean a greater chance for long term survival and being done with it all - hopefully!

I'm ready, green light is on, hooked up, equipment check OK, number one OK - time to kick some butt!

Tom there are times when being out of town turns out to be damn inconvenient. I would have been on top of this in a much quicker fashion. I will say you are always in my prayers & never far from my thoughts so I didnt miss the boat completley, just missed letting you know.. Please take very good care of yourself my sweet friend. and no worries you are always very close by. I also know you will be doing nothing but Hanging tough because thats who you are.
