Nice pics....I love St. Marie Du Mont. Great little French village.

...by the way the 'BattleBus Tours' which are mentioned in the first post is run by WBG.com member Paul Woodage aka 'Reccewoody' and although I've yet to partake from what I have heard they are indeed the best tour in Normandy!

...and I'm not even on the payroll...

Great Pics.
As far as BattleBus goes, I toured with them in 2006, for my 2nd visit to Normandy. I did the "Band of Brothers tour". It is well worth the price to go with them. Saved me alot of time looking for the BoB spots on my own and they know their stuff. Highly recommended...

Dear all

I would like to take this opportunity to all those people who recommend our tours - word of mouth referrals are so important when building a business.

So cheers to all Battlebus clients past and present.

On another note I attended the dedication ceremony of the new E/506th monument at Brecourt Manor today and will probably post photos tomorrow - or maybe I'll post on Trigger Time and post the link here. Anyway it was a great day and I was thrilled to see my old buddy Ed Shames again. He told me some great Colonel Sink stories and a great one about Nixon that is not really postable here. Also in attendance were Herb Suerth Jnr and much to my surprise Bill Maynard who I had not seen since 2005. Meeting three such fine veterans and gentlemen in one day was pretty awesome.

Paul,

I must say I am impressed and happy to know that there are tours like this one! I have a plan to travel to France,Holland and Belgium to visit BoB battle sites! Allways "broke" my head what to visit and how to visit those places! Now I have the solution! biggrin.gif
I think I will take at least 2 tours wink.gif
