i'm not sure whether this picture has already been posted here. just found it, and want to share with you

it's the explanation of this picture on the website:
This photo was made at the beginning of 1943, just as Easy Co. 506th members were graduating from jump school. They still wear the GHQ Reserve SSI. Left to right: Johnny Martin, Angelo Dukelis, Albert Blithe, Bill Guarnere, unk., and Burton Pat Christenson-photo courtesy of the Christenson family

After all the E Co. photos I've seen, I don't think I've seen that one. Almost surreal clarity. And I think it's the best photo of Wild Bill from that era that I've seen. Excellent!
Thanks, Doug

Brilliant! I've never seen that one before either. I agree about the clarity, it's almost as if it could have been taken on the BoB set! Easy to spot Wild Bill there too

Thanks for that,
John

I think this picture is from Mark Bando's Triggertime.
I believe that is where I have seen this picture before.
It is an excellent photo though!

Extraordinary!! I have to agree with you, Doug - that is an extremely clear image from that era - surreal is right. It's stunning!
Thanks for posting!

Never saw that photo, but it's a great shot of Bill and the gang.
My goodness, Blithe looks like the actor who played him.

Another bump for an oldie but goodie...
The unidentified trooper between Wild Bill and Pat Christenson is Bill Wingett.

There is an identical picture with Wild Bill Guarnere in the spot that Hoobler is standing in.
