Hi,

A guy on my forum asked me a question he has a photo of 2 101st Ab Para's.
He wants to know if their from E*co.
If anybody knows who these paratroopers are, it would be really nice if you could help out. Before I ask somebody else.

It's a very nice picture... haven't seen it before.
I don't recognize any of them (but that doesn't say anything smile.gif ).
If it's indeed taken in Eindhoven... there is a good chance that they belong to the 101st, but which company.... hard to tell.

Let's hope someone recognizes the two.

Bart

P.S. Does your friend know where the photo is coming from?

I have found the answer on your forum... the photo is coming from a citizin of Eindhoven who took the photo herself in 1944.

great shot!

Desiree,

Looking at the two troopers, the one on the right isn't wearing Corcoran jump boots, so I seriously doubt he was Easy Company. The leather extension to G.I. shoes came into being about 1944, making it possible for every infantryman to "blouse" is uniform trousers and look like a paratrooper.

Just my observations from having lived in that era,

I am also doubting if it is Easy, but the person from who the photo is really believes it.
And as said the 506th was in Eindhoven, Not only Easy.
Thank you for your answers.
