Awwww, how sweet of you all. I was in a meeting today and wrote the date down and got a pang of sadness. My sister called later to wish me "happy dad's birthday". We continue to celebrate him and his life and are thankful to all of his "fans" that keep his memory alive.
As I find myself turning away from Easy Company lately after five years of immersion, I find myself drawn back into his other life, the years after WWII and at the same time, coincidentally again started receiving emails and phone calls on miscellaneous matters relating to his post war career with the CIA. Check out
www.ciafilm.com for the trailer of an interesting documentary that use some of my dad's film footage from Laos. I have been helping the filmmaker, Roger Warner, locate my father's films which were spread in many directions and Roger has graciously arranged for them to be digitized at his expense and provided me with copies. This aspect of my father's life is really fascinating and I hope to get back into researching it more fully once again. "Band of Brothers" sidetracked me for a while but I am back on track and hopefully will turn up more inspiring stories.

P.S. Happy Birthday Daddy, I love and miss you....
