Ok, silly question. It may be posted and I just cant find it.... why did they call him One Lung McClung?

It rhymed!

My recollection is that Tony's dead right. Someone wrote a poem (a la "Night of the Bayonet"), and there was a couplet that went:

"The machine gun swung
on One-Lung McClung . . ."

and a nickname was born.

Or at least that's what I was told.

I thought about that myself but never asked...!
